ABOUT ME
Carol Noronha is a filmmaker, producer, and aspiring show-runner from Karachi, Pakistan, with over a decade of experience in feature films, short films, television commercials, music videos, and art installation films.
She has collaborated extensively with Pakistani-Canadian director Zarrar Kahn, producing four acclaimed short films—Dia, Stray Dogs, 1978, and BHAI—which screened at major festivals such as Locarno, Clermont-Ferrand, BFI London, TIFF and Palm Springs. Her work in feature films includes serving as Associate Producer on Jami Mahmood’s 'Moor' (Busan International Film Festival 2015) and Kahn’s 'Inflames' (Cannes Film Festival, Directors’ Fortnight 2023). She also Executive Produced Fawzia Mirza’s 'Queen of My Dreams' (TIFF 2023), and Line Produced Seemab Gul’s independent feature 'Ghost School' in 2024 (post-production). Beyond fiction, Carol has produced documentaries for Dubai Expo 2020, worked as a Script Editor on Pakistan's spy thrilled film 'O21', and produced commercials for brands like UN Women, The Citizens Foundation, Pond’s and Peek Freans.
An alumna of Berlinale Talents, she recently founded 67E° Studios; a production company that aims to focus on co-productions and telling more socially, politically, and feminist-driven stories. She is currently in the initial stages of developing two show series with writer/journalist Tooba Masood and her debut feature, 'Borderline', which is inspired by the road travels of the Pakistani documentary photographer, Danial Shah.
Carol is now based in Ontario, Canada.
“Forever mesmerised by the fantastical world of sets, cameras and lights and constantly in awe of the ability to build new worlds and tell stories that will last.”
